Unova (October 13, 2014 to July 12, 2024)
Mayuri was born in Unova on October 13, 2014. Her father, Naoki Sakurada, was born in Kanto and moved to Unova for university. Several years after he graduated, he met Mayuri's mother, Maile Hana, an Wakinese researcher raised in Unova. By the time Mayuri was born, Maile was researching Pokemon Evolution in a local university, and Naoki was working on the newly discovered Mega Evolution.
Her parents put her in day care starting at a young age, being overwhelmed by their research. Mayuri grew close to a Minccino and Petilil that her parents kept as pets, to the point that were more her pets. In elementary school, Mayuri was well known for shenanigans like bringing stuffed animals to school, or dressing like a Disney princess. Despite her weirdness, however, she as generally pretty good at making friends.
Throughout elementary school, she was very good friends with Yuki Akiyama, Maria Shuman, and Alice Lessi. Alice Lessi, the daughter of a Medium, was very interested in the occult, and got her close friends involved in it as well. Knowing the dangers from repeated warnings by Alice's parents, and lacking the materials to try, they mostly stuck to small "show-and-tell" type spells. Still, they had much more occult knowledge than any grade schooler should ever have. Mayuri's weren't too concerned, figuring that an occultist daughter would probably be an useful research assistant.
Wanting to reconnect with Maile's extended family, her parents decided to move to Hermit Town. While she wanted to see her friends more, she was able to accept it as they could still keep in touch through email and phone.
"Stop embarassing us in school!" (July 19, 2024 to November 1, 2024)
After her family arrived in Wakino, Mayuri found particular interest in the library there, often checking out books on the occult. She started experimenting with some of the safer ritual that she could understand— with an allowance, getting materials for them was much easier.
Mayuri went to a local public school for a while. Unfortunely, middle school teachers were a lot less accepting of Mayuri's behavior. Thinking that Mayuri would have trouble as an adult acting as she did, her parents tried having her challenge Pokemon League. While neither expected her to get very far, they hoped that by the time she returned, she'd have grown up a little. They sent her off to Ark City with Hanako, Naomi, and enough supplies to get started as a Pokemon trainer. They figured that she'd have to participate in gym challenges and such to do well there.
It turns out, sending a girl obessed with cuteness to the same city as the Cute contest hall was a terrible idea. Hating Pokemon battles at the time, Mayuri decided to be a coordinator instead. She did very well, and was able to earn quite a bit of prize money— probably much more than she would have doing gym challenges. Eventually, Mayuri decided to try making her way to Hoenn, having heard of the more centralized contest scene there.
Hoenn (November 6, 2024 to April 28, 2025)
Mayuri made her way to Hoenn along with a coordinator she met named Natasha. While they wanted to take a direct ride to Lilycove City, they found that the only ship connections to Ark Island was to Slateport. When Mayuri arrived at Slateport City, she got a Hoenn trainer card through a trainer visa program, and started setting off towards Lilycove City. She tagged along with two different groups of trainers traveling between cities for badges, always finding an excuse to not show up for the gym battle proper. Along the way, she befriended a Swablu and Swirlix. While she still didn't want to participate in gym battles, she had warmed up to Pokemon battles by then, and was willing to participate in more casual ones.
Eventually, she arrived at Lilycove City, and started doing quite a few contests there. While there, she earned Basic Smart and Beauty ribbons, as well as a Super Cute ribbon, and made a few friends with local coordinators. As Lilycove City also had a good library, Mayuri decided to try and look a bit more into the occult. There, she discovered a particularly interesting ritual for Type Shifting Pokemon to the Fairy type— one which seemed easy enough for her to do, no less. After researching the matter for about a month, one night, she decided to give it a try on Hanako and Naomi— needless to say, it worked quite well.
Having been gone a lot longer than her parents anticipated, they called her, and asked her to visit them sometime. Knowing that having a Hoenn trainer card would make it easier to return, she took a ferry over to Hermit Town.
Recent Events (April 30, 2025 to May 26, 2025)
Reuniting with her parents, Mayuri made it quite clear that she, in fact, had not earned any badges, and moreover was now a coordinator… and intended to continue being such indefinitely. After much arguing with her parents, they relented in the end, making her promise to visit them at least once every six months or so. She made her way over to the Sepia Islands on a whim, and then… well, you know the rest of the story.
A boy Mayuri was friends with when she was young, who was interested in the occult just like Mayuri. He was rather quiet and soft-spoken, and sometimes often confused for a girl. As would be expected, this gave him lots of trouble with the other boys in school. While he often played with Mayuri, Maria, and Alice, he usually wasn't as deeply involved in their shenanigans. They were a little too much for him at times. He had a Pachirisu as a pet, but, was never really interested in battles or contests. Even so, he found it easy to connect to Pokemon, and was an natural at taking care of them.
One of the girls Mayuri was friends with when she was young, who was interested in the occult just like Mayuri. She was excitable and cheerful, and was often tried to convince Mayuri and her friends to try new things… including things that they should really not be trying to do. She was rather reckless with her occult experiments, often causing trouble with their results. Mayuri took the results of her experiments as warnings. She kept a Jigglypuff as a pet, and planned on taking on the Unova League.
One of the girls Mayuri was friends with when she was young. She was mostly responsible for Mayuri's interest in the occult. She was an occult dork, and slacked off on any subject that she wasn't interested in. Since her parents being occultists, she naturally had lots of resources for studying such things. She was closest to Mayuri, due to her also caring about digging into books on obscure occult theory, while Maria was content to screw around without understanding how stuff works and Yuki stayed away from anything that sounded remotely dangerous.
A coordinator from Okowa that Mayuri met while in Sepia Island. She specialized in Grass Pokemon and Beauty Contests. She and Mayuri talked after a Beauty contest. They became fast friends, with them sharing an interest in the occult, and Mayuri reminding Natasha of herself when she was younger. Natasha was familiar familiar with occultism's practical application to Pokemon training, and she helped Mayuri along while she was learning to put it into practice.

This journal is protected by nasty fairy magic. If you don't wanna get nasty fairy magic in your eyes, close this now, and forget it ever existed.
November 12, 2024: I found a really cute diary in a little shop in the Slateport market today. I've wanted to try and start a journal, so, here I am~ I'm still staying at Hotel Flaaffy with Natasha, and we're splitting the bill. She says she likes the contest scene here a lot better than she thought she would, so she's probably going to stay here for a while. … so, we'll probably be parting ways soon… I'll have to be sure to thank her somehow. Customs would have been trouble without her. I'll… find a way to Lilycove on my own, since I definitely don't want to trouble her further.
November 14, 2024: Signing up for a trainer license thing was a lot easier than in Wakino. No tests, they just checked my Wakino one and nowI'll have an Hoenn one in… well, 'within 5 business days'. There's a bunch of trainers here looking for people to travel in the local Pokemon school. They were commenting on my Kantoese accent… isn't that weird? They're the one\ with a Hoenn accent… They told me their parents put restrictions on their license, like, "can't travel in groups of less than 3." … I don't have anything like that, but it'd probably still be easier to get around with others. Going on a gym tour isn't too weird for people my age… but nobody does those alone.
November 22, 2024: … what happened to 'within 5 business days'? Obviously, still no trainer license. … anyway, I exchanged occult notes with Natasha today too. She doesn't have much, and most of it is Grass connected… but, well, that wasn't the point, hun. I hope mine are useful to her, somehow. And… I figured I don't need a seperate occult journal, if I have this one. The pages are thin, but, I think there's magic you can use to make it durable anyway. I'll copy in my occult notes tonight, I guess.
I just looked through Natasha's notes in detail. It's a lot more useful than I thought it was at first. If nothing else, it's made me realize how little practical stuff I've been reading up on, compared to theoretical stuff. I'll copy down what's useful from that here as well.
November 25, 2024: I finally got my Hoenn trainer license. This is literally the first place I've heard of where Friday isn't a business day… I've spent the day looking around to see if I can find anybody to travel with. Most of them want to take a ferry to Dewford, then take another ferry to Petalburg, so they'd have two badges before they ever set foot on one of the tour's wilderness routes. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to find some people who actually want to go towards Route 110.
November 26, 2024: I found a group of trainers who wanna start at Mauville in their gym tour that wouldn't mind a coordinator tagging along… Their licenses don't have restrictions that would stop them from keeping going on without me if I leave them, so… that's a good thing… anyway, they want to set out Friday, so I guess I'll be here for a bit longer.
Annette: "Leader" of the group here. She seems really nice, so far. Really talkative. Her parents are engineers working at the refinery here, and I think they gave her Pokemon for the gym tour. They aren't normal starter Pokemon, and I've never heard of a Gligar being a family pet. Not to mention, they don't look very experienced. Has a Gligar and a Swadloon.
Blaise: Annette's younger brother. If their names are anything to go by, I don't think they're from here. Kalonian names, I think? He's rather quiet, I've only heard about him from Annette, really. I guess he's used to Annette doing all the talking, or something like that. Has a Goomy and a Chinchou.
Hayato: Unlike the Annette and Blaise being brother and sister, Hayato's just a random guy who decided to go with them. I haven't gotten to talk with him much, so, I don't know him very well. I've seen him playing with a Wooper though. I think that's his Pokemon.
November 28, 2024: I can't say I haven't gotten to talk with Hayato anymore… Apparently he has a problem with coordinators or something. He thinks I won't be able to help out with anything, since I don't usually have Pokemon battles, so he insisted I have a Pokemon battle with him. I beat his Wooper with Naomi. He says that means nothing because I used a grass type. I already don't like him. He also thinks it's weird that I'm packing travel detergent instead of wearing throwaway clothes.
November 29, 2024: Well… we set out today. As much walking as I did in Ark City, it wasn't all day long, and I'm already exhausted. Annette and Blaise feel pretty much the same way… Hayato seems like he's fine though, and he's complaining that we aren't going as far as he'd like. Another group of four challenged us to battles today. The other girl's Treecko didn't seem too strong, so, I decided to go along with it. Annette sent out her Swadloon out on a Starly and lost, but, otherwise, we did well.
December 2, 2024: We finally made it to Mauville City. There's a lot of construction going on around here, apparently part of some city rennovation project… The gym here is a group combat thing, and the others really want me to help them when they go to challenge it. We've settled down in the local hotel for now. This time… I've gotten my own room. I hope they aren't upset because of it.
December 3, 2024: Well, we went to the gym today. I sort of lucked out, the gym leader really only has challenges set up for groups of 3, and 5. I decided to sit out so the others could have an easier challenge. The gym leader insisted I spar a little with one of the gym trainers there. I won. I guess contest training is supposed to help with battles too, but, I wasn't expecting to win in any serious battles. … I've also started trying to do the move shifting thing with Hanako, with her Tail Slap move. We tried for an hour, but nothing really came of it. I wish I could have asked Natasha about move shifting before I left Slateport. She'd probably have been able to show me what I'm doing wrong.
December 5, 2024: I guess… I'll have to part ways with this group too. They want to go to Verdanturf, instead of taking the long journey through Routes 118, 119 and 120. Fastest way would be to go through 118 to 123, I guess, but anybody going on a gym tour would want to stop by Fortree. Anyway, Annette and Blaise want to go to Verdanturf instead, to face the newly opened Dark gym there. There's a Pokemon club here too, so… I think I can probably try to find a group going to Lilycove.
December 8, 2024: The only groups I've found going towards Fortree and Lilycove are experienced trainers… maybe 16 to 17, going on their second gym tour. I wish I could just take a taxi or something, but, none of them really wanna take an 11 year old along. … I guess I don't mind traveling as much as I thought I'd have, since, I don't think I was trying as hard as I could have. I mean, I got to Hoenn at all, didn't I? Maybe I should just go on my own. I mean… it's not really illegal, even if I'd have to deal with people thinking I ran away or something. … my parents noticed that our calls were long distance, and I was on roaming. I let them believe that I beat Wattson…
December 9, 2024: I found a group I'll go with. Two older trainers, heading to Fortree City for the Feather Badge… and then Lilycove City for the Shine Badge. … interesting gym leader. She's, like, 20 now, but, she opened it when she was 13 or so. The two trainers I met were friends during middle school, and did a gym tour together when they were my age. They were really good at it, getting 4 badges. They had already challenged the new gym in Verdanturf, and were going to keep going to Mossdeep after I got to Lilycove. We talked for a while, and they said they'd be willing to take me.
Maria Nakajima: … I already know a Maria, so, this is gonna get confusing. Pretty normal gym challenger, I think. Trains hard, good at fighting. Specializes in Bug type Pokemon, though I don't think she has any occult connection to Bug type. She's really close to her Scizor. Also has a Parasect, Durant, and Armaldo. No Key Stone that I can see.
Kaito Tanaka: What, were his parents otaku? … second weird name regardless, he's not as focused on battling as Maria is. Nor a specialized in Pokemon, for that matter. He's pretty charming, and would probably do well in contests. Close to his Gardevoir, has an Aurorus, Carbink, and Bellossom. Also no Key Stone.
December 11, 2024: I got restocked, and we're heading out today. I got some waterproof bags, and some clothes I don't mind getting ruined on Route 118 and 119. I don't want to test the wards I put on this like this, so it's going in a bag too. So… I probably won't be writing much for a while.
December 14, 2024: It's a pretty long journey to Fortree City. The rain's let down for a while, so I could write an entry today. The wards aren't completely useless, at least. Despite the bags being "waterproof", the insides of the bag I put my journal in are a little damp. The journal's still all fine though, so… I'll move it to another bag after this.
Lots has happened on the way, and I'm already tired. Apparently muggers like to hide in the tall grass on 119. We were jumped yesterday. I think they thought it would be four on two, with my age. I did join in the fight. Hanako and Naomi got hurt, but, we did get away from them. Maria and Kaito said they'd handle calling police and stuff. Besides that nightmare, we had a few random challenges along the way. When it's… not people jumping you, battling isn't so bad. I'd… still like to get to a contest hall though.
And… oh, right. I caught a Swirlix yesterday too… Or… well, befriended or something. I didn't fight it or anything… We're still getting to know each other better right now.
December 16, 2024: We arrived at Fortree City! I checked in at the Pokemon Center earlier… Swirlix is a her. So, I named her Ria. I'm in a hotel in some sort of tree house right now. Hanako's not very satisified with the tidiness here though. She's going around, dusting off furniture and stuff. I finally had some progress on the move shifting. I'm not sure if Maria has some occult connection she hasn't explored, or if the move shifting technique isn't actually occult, but, she was able to help me out with it. I got to a point where Hanako and Naomi's attacks were starting to change slightly every once in a while.
December 17, 2024: Maria and Kaito challenged the gym, and I kept trying to practice with Hanako and Naomi. I'm… not sure if it's working with Hanako so much, but, Naomi can make her Leaf Storm all glittery now. We're heading out tomorrow again, to Lilycove. … there'll be more rain then, so…
December 20, 2024: And… we arrived at Lilycove City! Maria and Kaito are challenging the gym already… I'll be staying here, so. I guess it's time to part ways again, hun. Unlike Natasha… apparently, I think this place is a lot better than Slateport. I'll be… trying to find an apartment or something around here. Hotels every day is still a little too expensive for contest prize money and some allowence. The people on gym tours get by sleeping at Pokemon Centers, and camping. That's not something you can do every day, staying in a town.
December 25, 2024: I've got a place to stay now~ Turns out, there's a Pokemon boarding school near here, and they have lots of open housing. I told the housing manager why I was here, and about me wanting to stay here for a while, so I could experience more than just Cute contests all the time. He thought it was unusual, but, since they let gym challengers stick around for a week or two, he didn't see why I couldn't stay there for a bit longer. It'll… probably be a little weird staying here… but, I guess it works out.
January 3, 2025: Been settling in. I'm not technically a student, so I don't think curfew applies to me, but… that's a little hard to say when they lock the doors, and use loud horns in the morning. I befriended a Swablu while I was out working with Hanako and Naomi one night. I named her Chiri. She likes sitting on my head… which makes it a little hard to groom her wings. The move shifting thing is working out really well now. Naomi, especially. Instead of a bunch of leaves, she throws sharp glitter now. I'll… have to test if it changed types for real later, I think. Probably if someone challenges me to a battle again.
January 6, 2025: Ria won her first contest~ Yawning cutely and stuff worked perfectly.
// TODO Fill in stuff in Lilycove. Type shifting, ribbons, figuring out Prism stuff, etc. //
April 28, 2025: I've gotten ready to go back to Wakino. I've returned the dorm key, and stuff, and gathered all my stuff. I'll be going straight to Hermit Town, and my Mom and Dad can pick me up there. They might be happy to meet Chiri and Ria at least, right?
May 5, 2025: I arrived… uhm, at Sepia Islands. It's been a long week, but… Mom and Dad think it's fine if I be a coordinator instead of a Pokemon trainer now… I think. They made me promise to visit them every once in a while, instead of leaving for so long again. … I'm fine with that, I don't wanna leave them forever either. … but, still. It's a little boring in Hermit Town. I don't get along that well with Smart Contest coordinators either. I don't quite know why I decided to go here, exactly… I guess I decided to go sightseeing, hun~
// TODO fill in history, looking at logs //
June 8, 2025: … Melanie decided to tell my parents everything, and leave me back home. Geez, thanks. She said messing with Team Aether was too dangerous, or something like that. I think I figured that out a while ago, thank you! Lecia couldn't convince her… and definitely couldn't convince Dad… Well, I had a lot of fun fun with Mom and Dad today, at least. I have some sort of less-than-half-brother named Claus coming over to visit… so, I guess it won't be as boring here, at least.
June 9, 2025: Oh, well…. OK. So much for me being safe here. I had thought Mel was right about that part up to today. …
June 10, 2025: I've calmed down a bit. Thinking back on the thing with Team Aether… They used Alice to channel me from another world somehow. She used illusions (Prism abilities, I think… I could probably do it.) to make Alice look like me. I don't understand why Team Aether would want to summon another me. And why they'd go to the trouble of.. getting Alice involved. I'm sure it has something to do with Prism abilities, but. I guess I should try to figure out. Let's… note down what I know, so far, I guess.
Tuesday… I went out to spend the day getting to know Claus. Along the way, he showed me what… real Prisms, not Prisms in stories can do. Then stuff went bad. When we went back to my home, we found it broken into by Team Aether. Mom and Dad were missing… There, Claus… revealed a secret, and we went to regroup in the lighthouse library. It turns out, all of Team ReSET has secrets. We found out there was still Team Aether presence on Hermit Town, and went to raid that remaining base. There… Claus and I found my dad and… me from another world, channeled through Alice. Naoki was… well, he was wearing one of those visors Team Aether made. We were able to beat down the other me, and get the visor off my dad. Claus had to use some sort of EMP device to disable… one of those bombs Team Aether uses though. I don't know if Alice had one or not, but I'd rather not find out. Dad and Alice are in the hospital now, and I'm with Mom at home.
June 12, 2025: This is….. wow. I… all right, let's start from the beginning. I got called to the hospital today. Alice wanted to talk to me. Her parents… are still missing, and she's not doing too well herself either. Team Aether had, indeed, kidnapped her all the way from Unova… She's going to a safe place for now… I hope. Would Aether have known about her… or the other me, for that matter, if I hadn't walked right into this mess?
And then, I talked to my Mom. According to her, I was also genetically engineered, just like Claus. … looking back, it's not too surprising… it explains a lot, in fact. But it was because of that I awoke as a Prism… if they hadn't done that… who knows. I'd probably be a Glamour Weaver like I expected? Maybe Aether changed that about me. They seemed desperate to have a Prism, and I wouldn't put it past them.
And then… ███ Arianna told me she still had some of her wish granting power remaining… and the Prism powers she had, combined with mine… I went through with it. Running away wasn't gonna help anybody anymore, so… I'm wanted to try and finish what I started for myself. I wished to have some of the power I had in the dream world… maybe I should have extended that wish to my Pokemon as well, but, it's far too late for that now. … Anyway, there were side effects. It… is convenient, and does solve a few problems, but… I definitely did not wish for this. I think I have a lot to think about again…
June 13, 2025: I can't sleep tonight. Might as well as elaborate… It seems, the wish did work. My Prism powers are fully awakened now… along with something else, I think. … but, for whatever reason, the wish also made me… I don't even know, I think I'm 15 or 16 now? Mom and Dad are freaking out. I think I'm done freaking out now. I hope. Er… right. It turns out my wish did extend to my Pokemon. Hanako, Naomi, Ria, and Chiri all evolved. Yep. Back to freaking out.
June 14, 2025: … I talked to Lecia today… I don't know what sort of legal tricks she's pulling to do this, but I'm a full PIRATES member now. Mom's not freaking out anymore. … it's… sorta kinda really embarrassing, she thinks I… grew up to be really pretty and stuff. Dad handed me Mega Evolution stuff and isn't talking… I'm getting sent back to the Mutany, and they'll be going to go raid some chemical plant.
… I hope we can finish off Aether sooner rather than later. And… Alice, Mom, and Dad won't have to worry anymore, right? Then… after that, I'll… figure out how to deal with… the side effects for real… Instead of, uh, you know, like, trying to figure out being 5 years older suddenly as you go.
// need updating aaa //
Type Shifting: There's interesting notes here about using your connection to a type, and 'pushing' it onto a Pokemon, causing their type to change as well. Natasha compares it to evolution a lot in her notes. One of the first occult things I did was try to find out if I had any connections to types. I found a connection to the Fairy type. I don't think her notes on making Pokemon grass typed are that useful to me… but… it does have me thinking if I could find a Fairy type ritual with a similar effect.
… Fairy type's actually pretty different from the Grass type, huh. Natasha has so much about how Pokemon's looks change, and biology stuff or whatever. From what I'm reading… it sounds like the Fairy type's more of a thing on the aura or magical level.
The moon has a pretty strong association with the Fairy type… Well, in some sense, plants have a connection to the sun, right? If I can maybe make Naomi… somehow relate to the moon too. It probably won't be all dramatic like making a Dratini grow flowers, but, it should do something!
… well, it's as I expected. Nothing dramatic… but it did work. Turned cuter, and sparkles a bit… hmm… and I bet she could do Moonblasts and stuff now too. I'll call this a good result. … and it shouldn't work too different on Hanako.
Move Shifting: She also mentions something else using type connections. Some sort of training using one's own connection to an element, and sharing it with a Pokemon to change their moves. Like a water type using fire moves, I guess. I'm supposed to… focus on the Pokemon like I usually do in rituals, and teach it to reach into that? Her notes are pretty vague, but… it sounds like I might be able to do wing this. It worked! Naomi's Leaf Storm turned into a glitter storm instead, and Hanako's tail goes all sparkly when she uses Tail Slap now.
Prisms: Normal elementalists, very rare. Despite being aligned with the "Normal" type, their power is really more specific than that. They control light… I think some sort of occult light, not just mundane light. Besides obvious things like Swift, Flash, creating illusions or Hyper Beam, Prisms can also split the light they control into its components… hence, the name. Some of the easier moves to use like this are Tri-Attack and Weather Ball… but, clearly, that's not all of it. It can power magic to grant wishes. It's somehow a "power source" useful enough that divinities would try to acquire it. Maybe linked to whatever power people tap into for rituals, or the belief that affects divinities? I definitely need to look into this sort of stuff. It could… be useful. … and also a problem. Whatever the reason, Aether wants a Prism. Probably something like a connection to divinity. I have an idea now. I don't like this…
Black Blaze's thoughts on Prisms are the same as mine, basically. Something like the power of the Dream World? Both what powers gods and psionics, I guess. And since Prisms can, like… copy other kinds of psionics, they're closer to the source of that power, right? And… "new gods of this era"? I couldn't match Kanaloa or Ululane… or if I could, I don't know how. I thought that would be MeLuna and Lesieli… Or… I guess they'd be old gods, huh.
I guess it's in an weird abstract way or something. The old gods in the Dream World, with their worlds. And… the new gods using the same power, since people have stopped believing in the old gods? So… I'm like, the enemy of Luna and Lesieli? Like… by nature? Black Blaze only knows about Albert, but the way they talk about his dreams sound so familiar. I sorta was able to create a world in the Dream World too, right? I think the real gods' worlds are much more developed, but still. Aren't the gods presense in the Dream World connected to their power? Is my world… connected to my psionics in the real world somehow? Could I draw on it somehow, like I can draw on the power of people around me?
Arianna: Arianna was once an Outer God. It was a choice between her, or an Gengar for the Ghost type, and there were groups that wanted both. She wanted Prism powers for use as an "power source", more useful than anything she already had access to. As an Outer God, I don't think she'd have access to belief, but… it's strange to think that an ascending goddess would want the same power I have. See above. She succeeded, but… her power was usurped along with the prism powers she stole, and that's the Arianna I met in the dream world.
Usurping: Taking divine power for oneself. I know… Arianna had usurped, and that Melanie had usurped. You keep your human form, and don't even get that much stronger like that. All that happens is that you can transform into the god you usurped, and use their power only then. … judging from Arianna, I think it's probably a bigger difference in the Dream World though. Not that I have any idea how to find out if it is.
I have no idea how gods work anymore. Melanie was able to… just… give her power to Luna? This makes, like, less than zero sense. Isn't being a god part of you?
Fragment: A fragment of the World Book that Acromatic Aether has. It can only be used to read from this world, and not modify it… To look at the world from the outside. I think the main character in a game I liked could do that… though I never finished it to find out. If a Prism's light can be used to emulate other psionics and sources of power… then, that ability would… I mean, I can copy stuff I see already, and I can imagine… it'd definitely be bad if Acromatic Aether gets their hands on a Prism that they could control.
It also powers that actor friend of Mack's… How's it help with the Doppelganger Effect? It'd… let them know things that it'd be impossible to learn from inside this world, right? Otherwise, they wouldn't know enough about the person to "be" them. … I think we need to relieve Acromatic Aether of this artifact. Or maybe… I wonder if Mother Swanna can help create another Fragment. It wouldn't harm this world, right?
… we got the fragment. In practice… it seems easier to get power from it than information… not that I've tried. Luna has it, so…
Albert Fillipovich: … That could have been me, couldn't it. He seems to be good in illusion (like Sleight, right?) while instead I focused in flexiblity. I guess in a sense he uses the power of light itself, while I use the power of light to become other powers. I guess he's not the brightest though… I would definitely not flirt while trying to escape.
… oof. Getting access to his Dream World, right. … and the others are coming too, so… Well, I guess we could figure something out when we get there.
We… saved him. And now… I thought he'd at least be able to have some sort of… happy ending after all that. Hmph. Save us from the "influence of the gods", or whatever. I've seen the influence of other people hurt people I care about far more times than the gods…
Kingdom of Amylis: Always the same dream, always in the same place. I always thought that was normal, but I guess it's not. I always felt sorry for people who had nightmares. I mean… that's how I thought stuff worked. I forgot when I named it, but… the world in my dreams is called Amylis, right? Kept alive by Chiri, it's able to exist even without me… right? Now that I think about it, I wonder if Albert has someone like Chiri in his world. I'll find out when I go visit his dream, I suppose.
I had thought about using the Dream World to help with psionics and rituals before, but, before now, I didn't have a good idea how to go about it. The Chiri in that world… surely she could help with something? I think I can find out more about that while I look into the Fragment and Albert.
In the dream world… stuff like this doesn't happen, right? … right? Does the me in this world… create that world in the Dream World, or… Either way…
Wish: Is it… too late to revise my wish? I… guess I wasn't able quite think of the right way to put it back then. "I wish that the me in my dreams, my friends in my dreams… and the me in this world, and my friends in this world, would become as one." … that is what I really wanted. I'm not sure it would be the most useful power, but… that is what I really wanted. I was thinking of my dreams, but… I guess it's a bit like Sayaka, huh. She wanted Kyosuke, and only wished to heal his hand.
Knox dropped his contract with the Unown to make use of his own powers better. … but I can't think of it so simply. This sorta flexibility is useful when you deal with rituals. It's useful when I have to fight, and it helped when we had to deal with that Galia lady. So… I'm not sure it'd even help with dealing with Team Aether to revise my wish. … so, I guess, if I choose to do that, maybe it'd be best to wait until after this whole mess is over.
I don't know.
Mega Stones: Albert made an Eevee mega stone? What? … what? I'm going to look into that Altarianite a bit to see if I could figure anything out. Mom thinks Mega Stones are connected to some potential in humans, right? Is it really the same potential as in the gods and psionics? … funny. Mom's like, all sciency, and I never payed attention to that stuff. And now I'm the one who might figure out more on that subject? Mom encourged me on learning about the occult. I didn't think it was… like… gonna help with the sciency kind of research, but, maybe they knew better than me.
… or I'm off on a wild goose chase. Could be that too.
Since there's no turning back anymore…
