MECHANIC

Spr_FRLG_Engineer.png

In a world where space-bound ship-to-ship combat is so important, the Mechanic's job is to tune up everyone's ships to be the best they can be. Mechanics are experts at manipulating starships, from their weapons, to their computer systems. They are the best at making sure any ship under their care is the best that it can be.

How do Other Classes Interact with Starships?

  • If a Trainer has the Daredevil edge allowing them to consider [Orders] to be [Pilot Orders]. Classes which use Training Features, such as Rider, Duelist, and Taskmaster, may have their effects apply to the equivalent Starship Piloting feature as long as the Trainer has taken Daredevil. Additionally, any [Orders] [Strategem] feature which target pokemon may instead target starships if the Daredevil feature is taken.
  • Direct-attacking classes are less valuable. You can't really punch a Starship. You CAN, but it probably won't do much.
  • Researcher Branches have some extra gimmicks with Starships. Specifically:
    • Upgraders may apply Upgrades to Starships, although augmentation shock may still occur.
    • Engineers may use the "Overclock" feature on their ship, as well as any Pokebot part which does NOT grant extra moves. For the purpose of Engineers, Starships have a maximum complexity of 10, but do not count as pokebots for the purpose of issuing them commands.
