Pokerider Variant Rules

Somehow or other, you have found one of the Master-Belts.

The MasterBelt is a device which, when worn by a human it deems worthy, allows them to use a monster trapped inside of a ball-capsule to power up the human. However, The human has to then put up with the monster's willpower, and if the monster does not deem you worthy, you won't be accepted.

The monsters came down to earth one day three years ago, on a comet. At first there were three. A shining white light, a deep dark void, and an otherworldly force. From those three, further monsters with legendary power were spawned, and from those, even more. The Monsters were fierce, tough, and dangerous, but somehow humanity has a way of perservering.

The monster balls were invented within the walls of Silph co. but once the monsters were contained there was really nothing to do with them. They were usually destroyed outright, or simply released back into the world if they weren't dangerous. However, once the MasterBelt system was invented, it became the main force for defending the earth from the Monster menace. Now dubbed "Pocket monsters" or Pokemon, these "Pocket Riders" or "Pokeriders" are more able to defend the earth from this strange force of nature.

However, not all is right with the world. The PokeDexindicate is aiming, in it's own way, to collect one of every pokemon for it's own schemes, and has apparently gained the use of MasterBelts of their own to use the pokemon's power.

You, one day in the year 2015, have found a set of MasterBelts during a monster attack, as well as a contained Pokemon. You are being attacked. Fight for your life! Find Your own justice! CATCH THEM ALL!

Specialty Rules:

All players begin with the following Feature:

HENSHIN! Pokemon Trainer Feature
Static
Target: Yourself
Effect: You may not summon pokemon from pokeballs. Instead, at the beginning of battle, as a free action, you may choose a pokemon you own and transform into a PokeRider form based on that pokemon. Your Pokemon's stats are your stats. Replace your trainer HP with your Pokemon HP. When untransformed you may only use certain trainer and class features. You act on the pokemon's speed initiative. Transformed trainers may have 1 move action per round, one trainer action, and one shift action per round. Transformed trainers always act before Untransformed trainers. You may change forms EoT as a move action. When Transformed, you have access to any capabilities the pokemon has. If your pokemon HP falls to 0 or below, you automatically untransform and are exhausted the next round. If your pokemon's HP falls below -100%, instead of rolling a check for death, roll the same d100 roll, and if your pokemon fails the check, they do not die. They are instead thrown out of your belt and land in the field of play, where anyone can pick it up. If a feature costs HP to use, take the HP from your Trainer HP. Any attack launched by an untransformed trainer will be Not Very Effective, regardless of effectiveness.

All players begin play with "Hey Guys Watch This" active.

Dual Wielding has been replaced by:

PokeRider W: Trainer Feature
Prerequisites: Level 10, STR 12, CON 12, DEX 12, INT 12, WIS 12, CHA 12
Effect: When you transform, you may choose 2 pokemon you own and apply both of their stat blocks to your Transformed state. When in a double-transformation, you may make two pokemon move actions; once on one pokemon's speed initiative, and the other on the other's speed initiative. Opponents may target whichever half of you they want, however, you may roll 1d20 and add the other pokemon's relevant evasion stat. If you roll higher than 18, the other side takes damage for the side that was targeted. You are still only allotted 1 Trainer Action. You may not take PokeRider W and Multitasking at the same time. Name each form combination whatever you like.

Multitasking and PokeRider W may not be taken together.

KAIJU BATTLER (aka league battler)
Explaination: Pokemon are one thing, Pokeriders are another. However, there is a third thing. Sometimes a human without a masterbelt will be forced to absorb the essence of a pokemon's type. When this happens, a Kaiju, a half-human abomination which spawns spectral pokemon of its type, is born. The Kaiju Battler is well-versed in these creature's habits, and will be able to battle them effectively.

Effect: Choose one of the following effects to be added permanently to your vehicle. You may take this feature multiple times:
-Choose ONE pokemon you own. When that pokemon is plugged into this vehicle, the Vehicle will gain 1/2 of all of that pokemon's movement capabilities, and will be able to launch an attack on command every other turn in place of a Trainer Action if you are riding it. You must take this feature again to make the vehicle compatible with another pokemon.
-This Vehicle may combine with one to four other vehicles to create a giant robot. This robot has HP equal to all of the composite vehicles plus 1/2 of the HP of any pokemon that have been plugged into a composite vehicle. The Robot may have as many drivers as there are composite vehicles, and each rider may choose one move from the pokemon they are currently Transformed with to form the Robot's moveset. The Robot may take a number of turns equal to the amount of drivers inside, and each driver's initiative comes on their pokemon's speed initiative. Ordering the robot to perform a move takes up one pokemon turn. PokeRider W may not make the robot act twice. You only need to take this feature once per every group of combining vehicles. When the Robot is set to 0 HP, it collapses into its composite vehicles and all of its riders are exhausted on their next turn.
-If an enemy is knocked to less than 10 HP, you may activate this vehicle's "Final Attack." This attack is Center, Ranged**, AC6. If the attack hits, the enemy is set to 0 HP. -Choose ONE pokemon you own that matches the pokemon the Pokebot is built to look like. When that pokemon is plugged into this pokebot, the Pokebot will gain 1/2 of all of that pokemon's movement capabilities, and will be able to launch an attack on command every other turn in place of a Trainer Action if you are riding it. You may not take this feature again unless you spend a feature to make another pokebot.
-This Pokebot gains Intelligence 5 and the ability to speak. It will have the personality of your choice. As well as learning to speak, it will be programmed to scout ahead for danger or lead you to someone or something if asked. It also gains the Tracker feature.
—This Pokebot becomes 1d20+10 pokebots.
