Rikala's family is well known for their psychic abilities. They had a lot of excitement and hope when she was born. She didn't displease them either. She showed that she had abilities fitting of the family even as a newborn. As she grew up she also outgrew her interest however. She was fascinated by the rough and tumble pokemon that lived in the mountainous area outside the city. She began reading about the leagues in other regions and became fascinated with Jasmine, the Steel Gym Leader of Olivine City in the Johto region. Rikala decided that this was the person she would strive to be like. She was beautiful and graceful… yet she commanded the respect of her peers with her incredibly powerful and robust pokemon.
Rikala took up the allowance she had saved up and purchased some pokeballs. With the help of traveler out on the road outside the city she managed to catch her own two pokemon. She left without a word to her family, determined to carve her own path rather than try to live up to their expectations. This was her life. Despite her young age she had the maturity and determination of an adult.
She surprised people young and old alike as she appeared out of seemingly nowhere and snagged first place in numerous Tough Contests. People were talking about this girl and her extreme promise. Rikala only hoped this news reached her parents. She smiled when she thought of how mad they must be that she shunned her promise as a psychic to be such a promising coordinator.

Rikala's black hair is naturally very straight and only falls to about her chin in length. She likes to wear slim flowing dresses much like her idol Jasmine. Her favorite dress to wear is an olive green color and flares out with simple yet elegant frills form the waist down, the dress length falling to just above the ankle. She wears simplistic black dress shoes with white stockings.
Despite he elegant way of dressing, her personality is befitting of any tough trainer worth their salt. She is very much a tomboy and is very confident in her abilities. When it comes to contests and battles, she is respectful and very to the point. Those who meet her note that she is incredibly mature and respectful.
